Bonnie requests that members who want to discuss issues with the Board of Directors, please call ahead for an appointment to assure convenience and availability for all involved… Plans are moving ahead for the Marine Corp Half Marathon on May 16. DRMI will host a booth at the Expo Center to promote Downtown business. We need Volunteers to staff the booth. Please let us know if you are available to help for part of the day. We ask that every store downtown decorate its shop windows in red, white and blue to add to the festive atmosphere of the race. Again this year, the number of runners and spectators will grow by leaps and bounds for this important event for our community… Upcoming: The Antique Car Show on June 5th… Linda Baer, from the Central Rappahannock Regional Library, has volunteered to work on revamping the DRMI By-Laws, along with help from Nancy Guerin and Mary Repass. Linda is a professional Parliamentarian, and we appreciate her invaluable help with this project… Edwin Wyant of the Virginia Wine Experience is our new Membership Chairman. He will be contacting merchants to present them membership packages and to recruit new businesses for DRMI membership… Thank you to Doug Fawcett and the City of Fredericksburg’s Department of Public Works for their excellent snow removal efforts during the unprecedented snowstorms of 2009-2010… Our next DRMI meeting is Tuesday, March 16 at 8:30 a.m. at the new 1890 Caroline House Bed & Breakfast, 528 Caroline Street.
