Our two book-writing People to Watch from 2007 have really made us look good. We’ve watched, and they’ve produced. For Hope Tarr, romance writer par excellence, it’s another page-turning release. The finale to her Men of Roxbury House Trilogy, titled UNTAMED, hit the bookstores in February thanks to Medallion Press [ISBN #9781933836171]. Visit www.hopetarr.com to order online. Keeping up with this prolific writer requires a scorecard, so here we list her complete booklist spanning the current decade:
Contemporary Novels: Strokes of Midnight Harlequin Blaze, December 2007 | ISBN: 0373793685 The Haunting Harlequin Blaze, April 2007 | ISBN: 0373793219 It's a Wonderfully Sexy Life Harlequin Extreme Blaze (#293), December 2006 | ISBN: 0373792972
Historical Novels: Untamed -- the third book in Hope's "Men of Roxbury House" historical romance trilogy. Medallion Press, February 2008 | ISBN: 1933836172 Enslaved -- the second book in Hope's "Men of Roxbury House" historical romance trilogy. Medallion Press, June 2007 | ISBN: 1933836121 Vanquished -- the first in Hope's "Men of Roxbury House" historical romance trilogy. Medallion Press, July 2006 | ISBN: 1932815759 Tempting Jove, August 2002 | ISBN: 0515133655 My Lord Jack Jove, April 2002 | ISBN: 0515133396 A Rogue's Pleasure Jove, November 2000 | ISBN: 0515129518
Those titles are in print. A new-new one, Bound to Please, is coming in July from Harlequin Blaze. Set in medieval Scotland, it offers a twist on the tried-and-true bride abduction storyline and will be the first historical for Harlequin’s super sexy Blaze line. So it’s history in the making! And should it be racy and rare, nearly raw, shall we call it Hope Tarrtare?
Lest one think that Hope lives her entire life at a word processor, we expose her field experience in the Marine Corps Marathon -- her third marathon and second Marine 26.2. Hope’s 4:22 finish shaved a minute or two from her time of 13 years ago -- a particular point-of-pride for the 40-something, though nonetheless lovely for it, Ms Tarr. Now that she’s moved to Manhattan, we shall count on the MC marathon to bring Hope back to the Burg area annually…
Jason Emerson’s writing is equally historical but in a different way. The Southern Illinois University Press has accepted for publication his new book, The Fire of His Genius: Abraham Lincoln's Mechanical Mind and the Complete Story of His Invention and Patent. The lengthy title alone is a page-turner, due out in January 2009. Jason is also working with Tom Byrnes on a potential cover design. As if that is not enough, Jason is still writing his bio of Robert T. Lincoln, with a September 1 deadline in his face.
He’s also had reviews published lately in Civil War Times and America's Civil War magazines, with more upcoming in Lincoln Lore and the Journal of the Abraham Lincoln Association; plus, articles upcoming in the Journal of the Illinois State Historical Society and Lincoln Herald. Honest!
Not merely a great writer but an engaging talker as well, Jason has many new talks scheduled this year, the biggest being at the National First Ladies Library in Canton Ohio on March 8 . Get it all at www.jasonemerson.com |
